The powered wheelchair is driven by battery power generation, so the battery is a very important part of the electric wheelchair. How should the battery be charged normally? How to make the wheelchair's service life longer depends on how you care for and use it.

 Battery Charging Method

1. The battery of the newly purchased power wheelchair may be insufficient due to long-distance transportation, so please charge it before use.

2. Check whether the rated input voltage of the charger is consistent with the power supply voltage.

3. The battery can be charged directly in the car, but the power switch must be turned off. It can also be removed and brought to a suitable place such as indoors for charging.

4. Please first connect the output port plug of the charging appliance to the charging jack of the battery, and then connect the charger plug to the 220V AC power supply. Be careful not to make a mistake in the positive and negative sockets.

5. At this time, the power and charging indicator red lights on the charger are on, indicating that the power is connected.

6. A charging time takes about 5-10 hours. When the charging indicator light changes from red to green, it means that the battery is fully charged. If time permits, it is best to continue charging for about 1-1.5 hours to allow the battery to obtain more energy. However, continuous charging should not exceed 12 hours, otherwise it is easy to cause battery deformation and damage.

7. After charging, you should first unplug the plug on the AC power supply, and then unplug the plug connected to the battery.

8. It is forbidden to connect the charger to the AC power supply for a long time without charging.

9. Perform battery maintenance once every one to two weeks, that is, after the green light of the charger is on, continue charging for 1-1.5 hours to extend the service life of the battery.

10. Please use the special charger equipped with the vehicle, and do not use other chargers to charge the electric wheelchair.

11. When charging, it should be done in a ventilated and dry place, and the charger and battery should not be covered with anything.
